Anel Sadykova holds a B.A. in English Studies from the University of Alicante (2014) and a M.A. in Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings (LAMS) from the University of the Basque Country (2017). Her M.A. thesis was focused on the acquisition of the first language by deaf children.
She taught Spanish as a Foreign Language in different language schools in Almaty (Kazakhstan) and participated in Jornadas de Formación de Profesores de Español como Lengua Extranjera held in Astana (Kazakhstan) in 2015, in which she spoke about the use of diaries in teaching and learning Spanish as a FL.
She also worked as a caregiver in a multilingual family (English-Swedish-Spanish) and her principal task was to help children to acquire Spanish in natural settings.
Her PhD project focuses on the acquisition of the first language by deaf children of hearing parents and it aims at providing tools for parents in order to foster language development by their children. The project is supervised by Dr. Aintzane Doiz Bienzobas.
