The Language and Speech Laboratory is a multidisciplinary research group based in the University of the Basque Country which investigates issues concerning speech and language acquisition including the following specific areas:

  1. Acquisition of syntax, morphology, lexicon, discourse and pragmatics
  2. Speech perception and production
  3. Auditory modelling
  4. Bilingualism and multilingualism
  5. Language attitudes
  6. Instructed Foreign Language Acquisition
  7. Robust automatic speech recognition
  8. Computer models of word recognition in noise
