Esther Gómez Lacabex

Esther Gómez Lacabex is Assistant Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) where she currently teaches undergraduate courses in English Language and English Phonology. She also lectures in the Masters’ programme Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings (http://www.lams.ehu.es/p149-1000/es).

She defended her PhD (Doctor Europeus) on the perception and production of English vowel reduction by Spanish Speakers at UPV-EHU in 2009. Her research interests are the effect of instruction in L2 sound acquisition and the relationship between speech perception and production as well as pronunciation teaching in EFL and CLIL learning contexts.
