María Basterrechea is an instructor at the University of the Basque Country. Her current teaching involves undergraduate courses in English Language. She holds an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a Ph.D. candidate working on her dissertation on Interaction and Focus on Form in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) contexts, supervised by Professor María del Pilar García Mayo.

Research Interests:

Her primary research interests focus on the study of conversational interaction and L2 learning, bilingual / multilingual education and CLIL, as well as psycholinguistics.
