Francisco Gallardo del Puerto is Assistant Professor at the University of Cantabria. He was a teacher at the University of the Basque Country for 10 years (2001-2011), where he received his PhD in 2004 with a thesis on the acquisition of L3 English pronunciation. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and at the University of Iowa (USA).

His current teaching involves undergraduate courses in English Language and Linguistics as well as postgraduate courses in the Master's programs Language Communication and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Zagreb, and Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings at the University of the Basque Country.

 

 

 

Research Interests:

His primary research interests focus on the L2/L3 acquisition of English phonology and lexis, as well as on content and language integrated learning (CLIL), the age factor, and computer-assisted language learning (CALL).
