Yolanda Ruiz de Zarobe is Associate Professor of Language and Linguistics at the University of the Basque Country, Spain.

Her work is done within several research projects, such as the National Research Project FFI2009-10264, that involves more than 13 researchers and two universities and the European project: Molan Network, a project funded by the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP).

She has been a visiting scholar at several universities such as the University of Nevada, Reno (USA), McGill University (Montreal), Trinity College (Dublin), Oxford University (United Kingdom) and Harvard University (USA).
Research Interests:

Her recent publications have focused on the acquisition of morphosyntactic aspects of English as a third language, multilingualism, and issues related to Content and Language Integrated Learning.  She has co-edited the volumes Content and Language Integrated Learning: Evidence from Research in Europe (Multilingual Matters, 2009), CLIL in Spain: Implementation, Results and Teacher Training (Cambridge Scholars Publishers, 2010), Content and Foreign Language Integrated Learning: Contributions to Multilingualism in European Contexts (Peter Lang, 2011). Two more volumes will be forthcoming in 2011, La Lectura en Lengua Extranjera (Reading in a Second Language, Portal Education) and Speech Acts and Politeness across Languages and Cultures (Peter Lang), co-edited with Leire Ruiz de Zarobe. She has also been invited to edit a special issue of the International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism about CLIL across contexts, that will come out in 2013.
